Course Requests and Schedule Changes
All course request cards are due to your child's ELA teacher by February 10th 2020. We do our best to make sure students get the classes they choose during the course selection process. We encourage students to take time when selecting their courses and choose classes wisely. Please follow all steps on the course request card before signing and returning to the school. Students wishing to change a selection may make changes to their schedule during our schedule change window, exact dates are announced the first week back to school in August.
When requesting a teacher change there are a few steps that must first take place:
- Student meets with the teacher during non-instructional time to resolve the issue
- Parent and student meet with the teacher to resolve the issue
- If the issue persists beyond the parent/student meeting, a final meeting including: parent, student, teacher, counselor, and administrator will be scheduled to discuss the issue and determine whether a teacher change will be made.
